The WISE Cleveland Power Panel: Industry Influencerswas held at Baldwin Wallace University on March 19. Over 75 joined for the event, which represented an impressive number of college students and staff members from various higher education institutions.
The morning began with breakfast and a brief networking opportunity for attendees. Gelise Littlejohn introduced members of the panel which represented the fields of events, non-profit, marketing, and sports management. The panelists were lead through a series of enlightening and informative questions, including topics such as professionalism, career paths, goals, expectations and misconceptions of being a woman in the workplace. Leading ladies sharing their trailblazing stories included: Tracy Marek of the Cleveland Cavaliers, Natalie Wikelfoos of Oberlin College, Deborah Smythe Herman of Ghostlight Productions and Caprice Bragg of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. The panel proved to be an engaging event, which was made complete with a balance with humor and wit that entertained and inspired.
