Sponsorship Sales/Marketing Fulfillment Intern

The International Exposition (I-X) Center is currently seeking a seasonal Sponsorship Sales / Marketing Fulfillment intern (e.g. January/February to May and August to December).

Most jobs in the industry, especially entry-level jobs, are in the field of sales and marketing. This internship will give the intern a vast knowledge of how organizations increase their sales productivity through building creative partnerships that sustain events and business programming.

Indoor Amusement Park, March 25 – April 17, 2016
Fabulous Food Show, November 11 – 13, 2016
Christmas Connection, November 18 – 20, 2016

Assist with marketing and promotional campaigns for the sponsorship sales department
Assist department with day of event set up and fulfillment and work with internal departments/staff as necessary
Assist in the daily operations of the department including but not limited to attending meetings with venue partners or potential partners, place and receive phone and email correspondence
Assist with production of fulfillment items of sponsor contracts (signage, print materials, media, website, hospitality, etc.)
Learn sales process, research and generate sales leads as needed and directed
Make follow up calls to local companies regarding event logistics and details of partnership agreement
Creating and maintain sales databases and spreadsheets
Maintain an organized profile of clients and prospects
Provide customer service and implement customer relations programs both on and off site
Develop sponsor recaps to show proof of performance and ensure renewals
Work at least 15 hours a week, some weekend/ nighttime work as required to support shows
Must maintain professional attitude and appearance
Must be working towards a career in marketing, sales or event management
Must have reliable transportation
